Sharing our horizon by Xenia Tran

Eivor and Pearl

I don’t usually do book reviews, but this book just blew me away!  Like me, many of you followers are dog lovers, Haiku writers and a great many are photographers. This book has it all!

Xenia shares her Highland journey through the seasons with two adopted whippets, a poet and a camera! Beautifully presented in ebook and real book, 60% of the net profits each year will be shared with re-homing charities, what more could you want. Christmas is coming!!!

Of course, she’s a wordpress blogger too!

The Greek Orthodox Church

We found this purely by chance not realising its in the guide books. Another frustrated photo opportunity as we didnt want to disturb the people worshipping. However, the road to it told a tale, the long lost link to StAugustine in the road and the old tavern, now an expensive hostelery. One of the most magical bits of our trip, with more time, maybe we would have found more. But this was special!

Those naughty Gams!

P1260006

We did our first walk in the mountains on April 6th, quite late again. And as always it was up the Weisspriach hill past the Diktler hut and by the river. We even took the closed route -which has had a warning sign on it but the wear on the path indicates its ignored. We could see the reason, there is a large landslip and there were new stones on the ground. But to my surprise, we could see animals grazing on the hill. I had my old trusty and zoomed in on the group. In seven years, I’ve never seen one that isn’t stuffed and in a pub. Here was a whole gang of Gams.
