Let me introduce Mandy, a writer from another genre, and she loves dogs!!

Mandy Tremelling is an undercover writer. Her day job is working in a bank, her college major is criminal justice and social work, but here she is writing Dystopian and Fantasy novels. She has lived from northern Utah all the way to southern Utah, from green forests to dry deserts. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loves being able to slip references into her writing, even if no one else catches them. She’s a wife, mother to a Corgi-Lab mutt, and loves to share words with those seeking new worlds. Mandy has now returned to a small town in north-western Utah where she lives with her husband and family. She’s very, very familiar with all the traits of the small town, but wouldn’t change her home town for anything.

Her favorite book changes pretty regularly, (what reader’s doesn’t?) though she’d have to narrow it to one of three. The first one being the Harry Potter series, (she was the nerd who had a Harry Potter themed wedding, after all) Kissed by an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler, or Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta.

Mandy’s current work is a Fantasy novel with Merlin, King Arthur, and many unknown friends who save the day. It has everything from betrayal, family, forbidden love, royalty, and of course, magic. We see Merlin and Arthur from the other side, hearing the story of those beneath their thumb. As the main character, Megara, loses everything she’s ever known we get to see her learn who her real family is and why that love is so very important.

Mandy’s most recent release is a novel called My World of Glass, released December 2018. Dessa Lakewood tells her story as she runs from the police after killing her Mistress, her foster mother Dolly. It’s a very relatable story about a girl who struggles daily with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and survivor’s guilt, having been the only survivor in the fire which killed her family. While she’s in hiding, she faces the very real dilemma of not knowing who to trust, and who really has the capacity to love her.
