So where's the snow?

Muddling through in Austria, God and life, teaching and gardening plus the occasional cow

At last winter is really here, and I’m just sitting down after clearing the snow in the yard – better than half an hour on the Cross trainer! After 5 years I still can’t resist going out and photographing it as you can see!

The snow’s wet and its gone all mild (plus 4) and sunny, so maybe down here some of it will melt.  Still at least the ski resorts can open and go full blast.

We’re going over to Paggy later to clear his snow, he’s already been taking the mickey out of us from his kitchen window. Linda was out clearing at 7.30 before it was light but just  did the tracks,  at last she’s leaving us to do our bit when we surface!

Today is a bank holiday in Austria, for Mary’s conception – how the Catholics decided to celebrate that one is a great mystery, though someone also said that it is the traditional day for biscuit baking . This is the Austrian Christmas art and the different varieties are amazing, but I still prefer my mince pies!
